In the dark vampire game V Rising, there are different blood types that provide you with different buffs and strengthen your vampire. In addition to the blood types, we will also take a closer look at the blood moon event in the following blog.

V Rising blood types - where from and which ones?

The blood types from V Rising not only grant different abilities, but the quality levels of the blood types also give various buffs, which are better the higher the quality of the blood. We list all V Rising blood types and their abilities:

  • Rogue: if you want your vampire to march through V Rising as an agile and, above all, strong warrior, the Rogue blood type is a good choice for you, as the buffs increase your speed or chances of critical hits depending on the quality level
  • Worker: as the name of the blood type suggests, this blood type is for you if you need a lot of resources and want to mine them quickly the most efficiently - as a small bonus, you can travel faster with mounts
  • Scholar: Magic and spells are your thing? Then you should let your vampire take on the Scholar bloodline, as this will allow your vampire to cast spells faster and gain further practical buffs related to magic
  • Creature: as with the rogue blood type, you can also gain more speed with the Creature blood type and, above all, increase your resistance to enemies and especially the sun
  • Warrior: once again, the name already reveals a lot about the blood type, because if you feed your vampire with it, it becomes a strong fighter that is more resistant to attacks and at the same time has more damage, especially in close combat
  • Brute: the Brute blood type is characterized above all by the fact that your vampire can drain the life from enemies and replenish itself with it, and you also get more defense

To obtain the respective blood types, you must kill enemies and then feed on their blood. You can find out the blood type and quality of an enemy's blood by hovering over them with the mouse. This will give you information such as the name, blood type, blood quality, level and health status.

Note: as a vampire, you naturally have to drink blood constantly to stay fit and lively, so it is important to know that you do not keep the features of the respective blood type and its quality forever. Every time you drink different blood or drink it from animals, the blood type changes or you take on the blood type called undefined. The practical thing about this, however, is that you can try out the blood types with the associated features and thus find out which one is best suited to you and your particular situation.

Quality levels of the V Rising blood groups

As mentioned above, each blood type also has different blood quality levels. In the information about the opponents, you will also learn about the quality, which is divided into five levels. Level 1 unlocks its buff as soon as you have adopted the blood type with your vampire, level 2 from 30%, level 3 from 60%, level 4 from 90% and level 5 from 100%. Level 5 does not have its own special buff, but it increases all features of levels 1 to 4 by an additional 30%, which is of course very useful.

The V Rising blood moon event

When the blood moon event is coming up in V Rising, you will notice that the clock in the top right-hand corner of the game turns from the usual blue to orange-red during the day. If the blood moon is active, you will receive an additional 20% buff to your blood type and the associated buffs from 6 p.m. to 9 a.m., regardless of the quality of your blood.

In addition to the 20% on your blood type buffs, you also receive 20% more damage and 10% more speed. You should use all the buffs you receive during the Blood Moon event primarily to fight high-level opponents who are rather invincible the rest of the time, or you can use the additional power and speed to win over servants or raid camps. However, the Blood Moon cannot be planned, as it always appears randomly and only the color-changing clock mentioned above indicates the upcoming Blood Moon.
